Nothing gets people to fall in love with a place or to share that love more than experiencing it first hand, and we want people to know that the amazing wildlife, succulent salmon, giant trees and awesome vistas they see from their ships and experience on shore are part of a healthy, intact Tongass National Forest.
Our I Love the Tongass efforts inspire visitors to remember that they are in the Tongass National Forest, that it is truly a national treasure and that they really should tell their friends and anyone who will listen about their "must have" experience in the Tongass.
Because of the obvious benefit to local businesses of having enthusiastic visitors talking about their Tongass experiences, we've partnered with local adventure, lodging and other businesses as business members of I Love the Tongass.
